The weather in Las Vegas, where the annual Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show (SHOT) opens Tuesday, is balmy compared to much of the nation, but today’s edition of USA Today indicated that things are about to heat up for the firearms industry…

SHOT 2014: protests flop, ‘ghost guns’ remind us to doubt ghost stories

Today’s edition of The Outdoor Wire briefly details two protests that occurred yesterday when literally “nobody was home” to watch, while today’s Seattle Times reveals the latest attempt by anti-gunners to create a fake issue: the so-called “ghost gun.”

SHOT 2014: ‘Assaulted’ producer at SAF booth through week

Kris Koenig, co-producer of the film “Assaulted, Civil Rights Under Fire,” told Examiner today in an exclusive interview that his goal with the 79-minute film — which is available throughout the show at the Second Amendment Foundation booth — is to educate the public about how their rights are under attack.

Washington benefits from target shooting; van Zwoll honored

Target shooting has big bucks benefits for Washington State, according to a report released today by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, which is gathered in Las Vegas for the annual Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show.

SHOT 2014: Another Hollywood threat against gun owners

As the third day of the annual Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) show unfolds today, the Washington Times reported that a Hollywood movie producer is planning a “hit piece” film that will “try to destroy the National Rifle Association.”
