I might have a chance to buy this rifle. It's in great shape, we are talking an 8+ out of 10 probably. No saddle ring. Any ideas on value please?

400-1000 shape is everything if you can get it for around 500 your in good shape.

Is the 32 very popular with collectors? If I buy it, it will just be to flip it.

Good caliber for hunting, not very popular unless you are a collector. You had better get it for around $200 if you are looking to make anything unless it is perfect. Way too many of them had peep sights put on, scopes mounted, reblues, stocks refinished or chipped up, butt pads put on........
It is rare to find one in really good shape. They were "working" rifles and they usually show it.

It is 100% original as far as I could tell and been kept in a heated safe. I hope he parts with it.

Are you talking .32 winchester special?

Very nice. Just checked gunbroker. Pre-war mod 94's are highly desirable. In very good condition going for 800 to 1200. Last year I inherited a nice 94 in 32 spl from 1950. They aren't making them like that anymore.

Generally in the 500-800 range.

I'd like to pickup a beater and turn it into a "porkchopper".
