Title: Huckleberry Range weather and road conditions
Post by: Rufous on November 13, 2008, 09:00:09 PM
My brother and I are heading up this next week to try to get him a moose. Can anyone tell me how the roads are in that area? When I hunted there in early October I was able to get into the higher country but am wondering if that is possible now. I hunted mostly south of the Springdale-Hunters Highway up to about 4300' elevation but on the way down the mountain after it had rained hard the truck was sliding sideways some in the mud. Is there any chance of getting back up in there this time of year? Is there any snow on the ground? Are the moose down lower now anyway or are they still up high? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Brian.

It's sure enough muddy, no snow yet.  I'll be up there the next 6 days chasing whitetails, so I'll keep you posted.
