This is a link to a video I took with my gopro when we were out of Neah Bay Washington on our week long fishing trip, when we hooked the biggest king of the trip only to have to fight a dang sea lion. Without the head and guts the fish weighed 28 lbs. and measured 38 inches

durn animals! :bash: glad you got something out of it!
where was it hooked? :dunno: no head and still on the line?

That sucks ! I hate those things.

I hope the sealion ate your lead weight and gets sick from it.

Awesome video though

Actually we got really lucky some how when the stupid thing finally ripped the head and guts out the hooks came out and barely caught the back end of the tail. What probably saved the fish was the flasher the sea lion had attacked it a couple times during the battle instead of grabbing the fish.

Nice 1, I've lost as many as 3 in a day to sea lions and some seasons I've lost as many as 12-15 to them. Though I've never lost any hawgs, that I know of, I have seen a couple other guide boats lose fish of well over 50 lbs to sea lions, heartbreaking for those guys to lose a fish of a lifetime that way. :bash:
