After checking the regs and looking at Salmon U it looks like it might be a good weekend to hit some blackmouth. Thinking of fishing Skunk Bay, maybe south PNP.....anyone been out lately?
-
We'll be in those areas tomorrow. Send me a PM tomorrow night if you want a report.
-
Has skillet been out lately?
-
Probably not...he never catches anything other than crabs!!
( I'll be texting him....thanks for the reminder)
-
You be nice to my fishing buddy.
-
heard via facebook from Johns sporting goods that PNP has been good 120'-140'. i think red flasher.
-
skunk bay is been better, pnp has been hit or miss you just have to hit it at the right tide and it can be good, just depends on how familular you are with fishing there
-
I know skunk bay very well....that is my go to....I like the troll from as shallow as 90 down to 140ish. I've done very well on "cop car" spoons specifically in that area. The bottom is very smooth and I think there is a good candlefish bite. Bump that bottom a few times and it can be pretty good.
-
I think skillet and I tried you skunk bay and got skunked.
-
The fishing at PnP was fast and furious this morning. About as good as Blackmouth fishing gets. My brother and I went 4/4 in a span of about 10 minutes. As soon as your gear hit bottom you'd have a fish on.
Green UV/glow Q-cove flasher,36" of leader and an Irish Cream Kingfisher on the deck in 90-110' of water.
-
Thanks all...will be dragging balls Sunday. See you out there.
-
H20 let us know how you do tomorrow  Unfortunately my engine isn't ready yet to be installed .....going duck hunting instead .
-
What time of day do you have the best luck at PNP? Do you have to be there at first light to do well? I'm thinking of going sunday but I don't know anything about PNP and I cant get to my boat until 06:00 in Everett.
-
...high tide is around 10:45 ,usually the best fishing according to most fisherman is early bite . Read up on blackmouth fishing on Salmon university or John's fishing journal and others \ http://www.salmonuniversity.com/Blackmouth_tips_Rudnick_2012.html (http://www.salmonuniversity.com/Blackmouth_tips_Rudnick_2012.html)

Thank you for the link Cap. Silver

PnP fishes better on the ebb than the flood. Time of day doesn't make as much difference as fishing a tide IMO.

Yes, I should know better. I'll play!
First....the fog....
-
Then, the one that got away. Was a nice fish. To bad we never had a chance.
-
And the one that didn't. Not very impressive for size but man oh man is it good eating. Just over legal, the brother and I each took a filet. I was hungry so I season it up and a quick pan sear in some olive oil. Delicious......
-
Good job H20  .Did you guys got any jacks while fishing ????
-
My dad and I fished sunday at point no fish. I went 3/4 keeping one nice hatch, releasing a nice native and one shaker. Lost one dandy under the boat. Mooching
-
Were gonna go try the point tomorrow mooching. pics hopeful
-
I fished PNP over the weekend. Managed 4 fish dragging spoons but only one keeper. Howd it go today moocher?
-
i saw a sweet BM report today on a new local forum, posession is rockin
-
Sorry for the late reply but we mooched the point and had 4 good sized ones on but came unbuttoned and when we were leaving we trolled the flats out and hooked a nice 5 pound barbeque fish bouncing the bottom. Then today we fished apple tree and caught four 20 inchers in a matter of 30 minutes then nothing but there was no bait there so Im sure if you find the bait you'll get em

area 9 drops to one blackie per angler for limit tomorrow (feb 10th). There is a notice on the WDFW site, guess you guys are too good at catching.
