Had the luck of three ducks in a line and all 3 dropping with one shot. One Drake Ruddy, Drake Bufflehead and Drake wigeon. Ended the day with two more wigeon :tup:

Saw that pic earlier today. I let the guy you were hunting with borrow one of my shotguns for the week. We need to meet up sometime. It would be nice to go after some ducks together next year. Cool find. From what I understand they are mainly a southern bird?

It's a winter phase hen ruddy. I've seen many more ruddys in California than I have here, but I found a bunch at a local spot I know of.

I've seen one ruddy duck while duck hunting in my life. A nice little drake I got in So Cal, beautiful plumage, he tasted good. :( :bash: Didn't even think about mounting it.
