Has anyone here done one? I am looking at using these with an h7 5000k hid kit. I have a 5000k hid retrofit on stock type (reflector) lights now but am looking to upgrade without blinding the crap out of oncoming traffic.

They look powerful. Never done one though. Could they be hooked up as auxiliary off road "driving lights"? :dunno:

They could but Hella makes some stand alone driving light variants (no hi/lo) for less dough, I did see a setup where a guy had used them as his headlights with hid bulbs and had hooked up a second pair with halogen bulbs as high beams. It was pretty slick and gave his truck a very custom look but I really don't care about that, I just want to be able to see when driving at night! The Rigid D2's I put on made a HUGE difference but I still need some good long distance lighting.

My youngest son just put projectors in my 98 dodge 2500 I gave him and it is night and day difference, the truck had become dangerous to drive at night (lights were crap right from factory really) but now it is awesome with good high beams and no blinding oncoming drivers.

Did he retrofit projectors or did he buy ready to go headlamps and did he use HID lights?
