Based on the proposed regulations, definitely the 4th thru the 10th.

You will be in for a shock when you see how few units are open.

What units are not going to be opened this year? Or where can I find out? I havent seen the new regulations anywhere yet.

All the same units are open this year as last year (as far as I know).

It's just that muzzleloader season has always had the fewest units open, but there are also less muzzleloader hunters than archery or modern.

the draws are bad also.  they don't even have a draw for 65+ elk.  I might go elk modern.  then I see where all the master tags go and get angered.   mike w

As bad as I shot today at the range w my muzzy, I might have to go with modern this year!! Couldn't even hit the target at 200 yards. Had in the past, not sure what's up. Probably just me.

Wow, are they trying to get rid of half the herd around yakima? That's so many more cow tags!

Sure doesnt seem like fewer rifle and archery hunters. Pretty crowded anymore.

You mean the 2014 elk seasons? They were set three years ago and for the 2014 season, they won't change.

Was referring to the cow tags being inflated is all. I know the seasons have been set and are still to early. But hey it's Washington right.

Most over estimate there ability on shooting a muzzleloader. Just find your affective range on an animal and stick with it. If that means around 100 yards I'm confident in then that's how far I will shoot. 200 is way too long for most with open sights so nice to hear someone admits the truth on their ability to shooting that far.
That being said seasons are getting better for muzzy. Closer in the rut. Seems more so than archery anymore. Limited areas because the success they have within a short season with fewer hunters. It does make the areas open pretty crowded though.
