I currently have a tx9, the back light is red when searching for a call in low light conditions. The tx1000 looks to have a different color to it. Question is, if I got the 1000, would it be compatible with my scorpion? I don't need or care if all the blaw blaw crap works.( foxpitch, fade, barometer etc.) As long as it changes calls & volume & I can read it I would be happy. Any thoughts?

You might have to send your unit to FoxPro to have it reprogrammed for the new remote. I think my buddy's remote was changing the sounds on my scorpion, but I'm not sure just how compatible they are. Best to call FoxPro and ask, I guess.

Heck I was hoping to just download my calls to my the remote & be done with it. :hello:

FoxPro has excellent customer service. Call or E-mail them. They will answer your question ASAP. I just got a new call that came with the TX-1000 remote. It has 3 color options. Night, Day, and FoxPro. The brightness of the backlight of the buttons is also adjustable.

I hope the TX 1000 is an improvement over the TX 9. That is the one weak point in the FoxPro system. :twocents:

TX-1000 seems like a huge improvement to me. Much more customizable, with minimal computer skills you can organize your sound files into custom categories, and load sequences of sounds to play entire stand with out touching the remote. I've only had mine about 2 weeks there is lots more I haven't figured out yet. The remote works to well over a hundred yards also. I haven't found the limit yet.
