Title: Lowland blacktails?
Post by: Ldav on January 31, 2014, 07:01:36 PM
Hey guys, just a quick question about lowland blacktail habits. I have access to some property in the Ferndale area and when I checked it out, I saw a few decent buck rubs along the edges of thickets and along the creek on the property. It is mostly horse pasture, but there are a few thickets of brush/timber and a creek. Can you expect lowland bucks to stay in the same general area most of the time or are they moving around? Hoping to get a trail camera or two up soon.

Set up your cameras and that will help you get a idea for what is frequently hitting the trails.

There are some absolute giant bucks coming from that area the last few years. If you can, get a tree stand and be patient.
