Title: Looking for a mentor Vancouver area
Post by: Tannerisms on February 03, 2014, 03:34:20 PM
I am recently separated from the Air Force and moved back home. I have never been on a hunt before but, I am eager to get out this next season and learn. I bought tags for every kind of animal I could this year and really need help from someone in the area to help show me the ropes or ideal hunting areas. I got my own rig and and I can ruck for quite a few miles. I am extremely new to this site hope this doesn't deter anyone. i am not looking for trophies but just to fill my freezer.
thanks, Tanner

What is your weapon of choice?

What do you mean by "Separated" from the Air Force?

I am in the market right now for either the tikka t3 lite or the Weatherby Vanguard synthetic series 2 in .270 wsm. I did my four year tour as active duty now I am in the air national guard. Probably gonna retire out there its a way more lax lifestyle.

I'm into archery for big game - haven't used a rifle for deer or elk in 15 years. The Yacolt Burn Sportsman Club has their monthly meeting next Monday at Rocky's Pizza in Battleground. The membership is $10/yr. You might think about joining and attending meetings. You will certainly meet fellow hunters to help you figure out a good place to hunt.
