Anybody ever hunt rabbits without dogs? if so what tactics do you use? bust brush? walk old logging roads?

Hit the brush and keep your eyes pierced. A lot of the time you can catch them holding tight in cover. Fun and challenging target once they break out!

only luck I've had shooting snowshoes (without a dog) is unused roads and sniping them from a good distance in the head.

We haven't had strong snowshoe population like when I was a kid,  snowshoe's were everywhere!   Now there is just a few here and there.
Buddy had a yellow lab that got us a lot of hare,  he'd bust them and get em moving and we'd blast them when they ran across the road.  Then he'd bring it right too us in typical lab fashion.

Makes me question beagles  :chuckle:
