Title: Rabbits with no dog
Post by: MC37493 on February 11, 2014, 10:45:28 AM: Anybody ever hunt rabbits without dogs? if so what tactics do you use? bust brush? walk old logging roads?

Post by: C-Money on February 11, 2014, 11:06:22 AM: Hit the brush and keep your eyes pierced. A lot of the time you can catch them holding tight in cover. Fun and challenging target once they break out!

We haven't had strong snowshoe population like when I was a kid, snowshoe's were everywhere! Now there is just a few here and there.
Buddy had a yellow lab that got us a lot of hare, he'd bust them and get em moving and we'd blast them when they ran across the road. Then he'd bring it right too us in typical lab fashion.

Makes me question beagles :chuckle:
