I just got a big new smoker that looks like the one in the Full Smoker thread. The chip pan is huge compared to the Big chief I've been using. How full do you guys fill your chip pan? Seems like it would hold half a bag+ & says I need to run a load of chips thru 1st to seal & assume season. Thanx

wish id seen this sooner but i havent been around. spray or rub the walls down with cooing or veggie oil then do a long thick smoke. that will season it well

Glad I checked back :chuckle: Haven't seasoned yet, it's been windy & rainy out. Will do the oil trick KC. thanx

I, personally, season mine with a veggie oil and paprika mix. one small tray of hickory and shes seasoned WELL
