Picture quality isn't the best but you can definitely see the size of this buck. July 7 2008 from a long distance away.

someone just filled a bath tub and made a giant protein shake, and fed it to him under a set of high voltage power lines, that thing is going to dip DEEP into the 200 inch class, which means someone is going to poach it.....

Well over 200" and lots of mass!! One of the best looking mule deer I've ever seen. Great photos - thanks for sharing them!
-
The first time we saw this buck was in July, He was with 23 other bucks, and 9 of them were bumping 30" mark. We watched him through a spotting scope and took the first set of pictures from about a mile away. I guessed him to be in the 220 class at that time. The next set of pics. were taken Sunday by a friend with a point & shoot camera. We're on our way back down there to try and find him, if we do we'll post some new pics. later on this evening.

Well, I was down there at daylight looking for the big buck, spent the whole day, saw a lot of bucks, took over 300 pics. but no luck finding the big guy. My feet hurt, I'm worn out, so will take tomorrow off from taking photos and go cut a load of wood. These are a few of the pics. I took today.

A little more info. about this buck. The velvet pictures that were taken in July by a friend of mine named Ricochet, I was with him when he took these photos. The next 2 photos of this large buck were sent to me by a friend(?) that said that these pictures were taken in the same general area as where Ricochet and I took the pictures in July. I assumed they were the same buck because I didn't think there would be 2 bucks that look so similar in the same area. But I was not there when the second pictures were taken, but knowing the guy and knowing that he spends time out there too, I just figured they were legit but now I think I have been punked. There are a lot of nice bucks out there and I'm still looking for the big buck that we saw in July, but I'm beginning to believe those other pics. aren't him. My promise to you that I'll never post another picture that I don't take personally.

That is one ugly buck.. :chuckle:
Great pics though!
-
for what its worth i believe they are the same buck if you look at the velvet photos and the hard antler the rack is identical to a T, i was just lettin ya know you might wanna go regulate and let people on mm know the truth then again if they dont know where hes at there'll be less hunting pressure on him, are these bucks on the malhuer?
-
Some truly amazing bucks and the pics are first rate.
-
I like that ugly buck...I would shoot him over the others just cause he's that ugly...
that and I would never see the others... :chuckle:
nice pics man thanks
-
Holy cow I think I'd s&#t befor I could shoot!
-
Most all of the pics. that I take are on the Malhuer Refuge and around central Oregon as well. The velvet pictures a friend of mine took in July and I was there with him when he took them. When this other guy showed me the pics. of the hard horn buck and said that they were from the same area, I just knew it had to be the same buck we saw in July. He thought it would be a pretty funny joke to play on me and I fell for it. I should have known something was up. I spend a lot of time on the refuge and around central Oregon and take thousands of pictures . Sorry this happened but in the meantime, I am going to continue to look for the big buck we saw in July.
-
hey you took the hard antler photos down but unless there was some photoshopping done on the horns they are an exact match in velvet and hard antler photos, are you sure its not the same buck just another photographer, look at his right antler exact dimensions in velvet and hard antler and the left is a perfect 4. maybe i just wanna believe either way that velvet buck is great

Thanks for all the kind words and comments. I was down there again today, I had some friends come over from the coast. Today was probably one of the best days of taking pictures I have had in a long time. I got some great shots of a buck crossing the river and 2 big bucks fighting for about 5 minutes that was one of the most amazing fights I have ever seen. At one time, they fell off about an 8 foot bank and I thought they were going to roll into the river. I took about 30 shots of them fighting and got some really good stuff. On popeshawn's suggestion, I was shooting in raw today and now I have to figure out how to adjust them and convert to a jpg so I can post some of them. It got so crazy at one time that one of the bucks completely busted off one of its back fork. As soon as I get the raw images figured out, I'll post pics.
