Hey guys
ive never went out on a yote hunt, but with deer season in the rearview I still have an itch! I have my custom ar and my ole trusty 7mm. Im ready and willing. so if anyone could give me a an idea where to head or wouldn't mind someone tagging along please let me know... (I have some home brew to donate) im a decent shot 10 rounds at 500 in a single moa with the 7 and even better with the ar.. any help would be sweet.

Any where you normally hunt will have yotes. South of sp gets nailed hard but there's always dogs out there. North of sp can be more challenging with the thick timber(specially for a noob) but there too are lots of coyotes. Watch your wind very carefully cause a coyotes nose is about as good as a bears and about 6x better than a deer. Competition is high around Spokane for coyotes so I dout too many guys will give up info. Seems coyote hunting is the new fad and everyone thinks it's easy till they try. Good luck

Can you hunt them in heavy timber? I own 100 acres backed by fed land but its thick woods, its great for big game and I see/hear coyote a lot. I just figured with them being so low to the ground ( not like a standing elk where I have easy vital shot) it may be much more difficult to get a hit.
the land is near Newport wa and there is about 8 of us owning around 1000 acres.. we all share stands n trail footage but like I said its HEAVY timber and most of the action on cams are bear coug deer elk and moose

Heavy timber is a hard hunt because they can wind you with out you seeing them. I call heavy timber by find a spot I can see a ways and get elevated. Also I use a buddy sitting 50-100 yards down wind of the guy calling. This helps alot
