Next year! An ex local dog 2x All Age CH Southwind Jetset Drifter a setter female won the second leg to the show at Ames plantation next Febuary. My buddy in Enumclaw used to own her and sold her for big cash. This last week she won the California quail championship.I burned some gunpowder over the dog a few years back, she's a good one.A picture I have from at 18 months old or so.(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.hunt101.com%2Fdata%2F500%2Fmedium%2FDrifter_001_Large_Web_view.jpg&hash=e94511405f2cdfc43ba633e0d898f3a313d6d1f0)

Ernie, does your buddy in Enumclaw ever have pups for sale?
-
On occasion, only when he is looking to keep one.Bmcox on here has one from the last litter.I had one I gave away to the birdaddict guy on here that was from his first litter about 5 years ago. That litter just didn't pan out very well for competion dogs, fine for hunting, just not the pizazz style and independance required to be winners.

Breeding by that dog and a MH Tekoa bred setter should have happened by now. Haven't heard if the bitch is pregnant.

Perspective of it is,that Tekoa mountain sunrise daughter is one of 3 or so alive,Fact of the matter is she's not near the same quality of the drifter dog,the drifter dog is one in 77k dog as is her counterpart female that was qualified to run at ames this year but her heat cycle canceled her opportunity,1996 or 1997 was the last time a setter female was qualified to run there,Her name was Ida O priscella and she whelped some CH winners.at 5k registered pups per year it makes them 2 in 155,000 dogs. They are full blown performers not paper queens deemed worthy because of who their daddy was.I've had fancy sired dogs that weren't worth the paper their name was printed on.It's the way it goes, luck of the draw on the genetic wheel.
