They just got worse.. Anybody get the new Elk Hunter Magazine? There is a story in thereabout the 434 non typical shot a couple years ago and in the article it talks about some of the giants coming out of Washington state lately..
Good luck Guys
And Congrats to the 16 year old Clay on a bull of a lifetime

stories like that happen every year :dunno: pales in comparison of the other states. I would not be worried :twocents:

I'm not to worried.

yep waste of time putting in for the Blues now don't even try.

Here's a few words that will discourage nonresident hunters from applying in this state. Non-refundable really expensive nonresident hunting license required. Here's a few more. Really crummy draw odds.

I was being sarcastic mostly....

Everyone already knew all the elk in WA are in the Blues!
-
I saw that story too. What an awesome bull and he has definitely spread his NT genes in that neck of the woods. The hardest bull to find in the Blues is a really big clean six point.

Agreed, few out of state hunters can afford to toss money at that pit.

Makes me happy that I killed my 360 bull. Now time to move on before the wolves take- over.

You don't have to be a math genius if you are a non-resident...buy raffle tickets with say half the money of a NR elk/application fee and your odds are significantly better.

:yeah: :yeah:
