Any thoughts on the Carbon Knight and also the RAK package when you buy it ready to shoot? It comes with Octane Capture Arrow Rest, RAK custom 4 pin site, Octane Deadlock lite quiver, Octane 5" ultra lite stabilizer, Comfort wrist sling, BCY string loop, alloy peep and dura-flx string dampening components? For the money I am debating on buying this new vs looking for a used package deal on a Mathews or other bowtech items. I appreciate your opinion.

I dont care much for the grip feel but the knight shoots nice and its light. Havent see or heard any complaints about the knight yet either. The package is to get you started and is decent but the sightand rest are something id upgrade. Its hard to beat it for the price :twocents:

So far no complaints other than the grip. Takes some getting used to.

Although I have not shot the bow, I think the bow itself would be a dandy. I personally wouldn't consider that "RAK" package. If you're going to get a high end bow, you might as well outfit it with high end components. I don't feel those in that package are of that quality. :twocents:

My brother just got one with the package. Though he did buy a different sight for it instead of using the one that comes with it. He is grouping great out at 40 yards already, only been shooting a bow for about a month.

Have had one since December. It's nice and light. Nice bow, as stated above I do not care for the grip and I was shooting a Bowtech before this. I would not buy the package as stated but go with the bare bow and buy upgraded components.

Noted, great feedback! I am new to archery and am not sure if it makes sense to buy more high end equipment when i am starting off or not. I agree the rak package looks and feels a little cheap especially when comparing it to the hoyt charger that they have in stock at Grizzley Archery in Yakima. That package has much nicer equipment but the bow is heavier than the carbon night. Thanks again.

My brother got his at Grizzly as well. Keep in mind that the bowtech is easily adjustable for draw length. The Hoyt is not. Also the bowtech is extermely light and i think a little less money as well.

Think of it like a house.Start with a good foundation (bow) It's a lot easier to get new stuff then a new bow.
