Title: Bulk lead shot
Post by: wence5 on March 14, 2014, 10:06:22 AM: I have a friend that is cleaning out her fathers place and the old boy has a lot of bulk lead shot, all #7, #7 1/2 and #8. There has to be a couple tons in his garage. They are trying to sell his stuff and I have been helping with some of the hunting and shooting items. Has anyone purchased any bulk shot lately to give me a good idea what a bag goes for today? I don't reload shotshells so I don't keep up on this. Thanks for the help in advance. :hello:

Post by: CP on March 14, 2014, 01:19:19 PM: In bulk it's more like $30 - $35 a bag (25lbs). If it's old it may be oxidized and therefore worth a bit less. Reclaimed goes for $19 a bag.

I can tell you that it is all new shot from NW shot manufacturing and most of it is magnum. Yes he has powder, sounds like in 4 and 8 lb. kegs. When she is ready to sell the shot I will keep you posted.
