Title: spring bear
Post by: justyhntr on March 17, 2014, 06:05:49 AM
3 more weeks  :IBCOOL: . My intention is to hunt with my bow for spring bear . Do some calling and maybe spot and stock . I am new to this game , bear and bows . I shoot 70 lbs. at 30 in. with a 423 grain arrow . I've used both the standard and magnum Slicktrik broadheads . What to use for bear ? I like the standard for pass threw and two holes for blood , I'm a little concerned that the blade angle of the Magnum may not give me a pass threw and may be more prone to deflection  but will give me a larger hole . What do you guys think ? Is 70 lbs. and 423 enough to blow a magmun threw a bear ?

Depending on shot angle and what's hit, you should have no problem with the magnum Slick Trick.
