My wife and I went up that way last Friday. Found some good looking country, lots of rabbit, and coyote tracks. Our only problem on Friday was the weather...it rained and blew like it does on the the "wet" side of the state! Of course we were accused by my daughter and future son-in-law of bringing it over the hill with us.
Saw everything from deer and pheasants, to chukar, a LOT of Sand Hill Cranes, and one of the biggest beaver I've ever seen. (No wonder there isn't any trees)!
Bottom line, bad weather and no dogs.

Warming up,I think I would keep an out for rattlers.

funny you say that...i had a close encounter with one while we were setting up for a set.
way to close for comfort.

I hate the damn things!I was over on the ridge Above Parker Last year shooting rats, sitting in the lawn chair.Look down, about 10 feet away,a big boy laying there, didn't even know he was there.
