Title: Props to Federal Way Sportsmans Warehouse
Post by: Band on March 30, 2014, 08:30:18 AM
Larry (old Dog on the forum) in the archery shop has provided me with great service on more than one occasion and I walked away yesterday a happy customer when he helped me toss aside my trusty Whisker Buscuit and get outfitted with my first drop-away rest, the Trophy Ridge revolution.  When it shot 3 bullet holes in paper with no vane contact on the rest I was convinced I would be happy with the switch.

But then he went above and beyond by noting the frayed cable serving and offering to fix the source of that problem and re-serve that portion of the cable without having to replace it.  I showed him where the rubber piece on my string dampener was coming loose and he put a fix on that as well.  My only charge was the cost of the rest.  That's the kind of service that keeps customers.  Thanks again, Larry!

Good job Larry.

That is just good business service.  It will keep customers coming back over and over again.

 Nice to see someone who actually cares and knows what theyre doing. Too often I see the "its good enough now get out of my shop" attitude. Which got me to buy my own press and tools.

Just wanted to clarify that I have nothing but good things to say about Larry. He has helped me in the past and is one of the few I would let work on my bows. The attitude comment above was directed toward how I've seen other shops treat customers.

Thanks guys.  :-[   I like what I do, and for the most part I like my customers.  That makes it easy.

It's also about promoting archery, and ethical archery hunting.

Just a little update on that rest.  I finally got a chance to shoot my bow yesterday and my grouping looks excellent.  I did a quick broadhead tune and they are flying very well, and already grouping very close to the field points.  Love the new rest!  I'll be shooting at longer distances today and I'm expecting more good results.

I had been sold on the Whisker Biscuit for many years but now I'm done with that rest for good.  Since I'm getting zero vane contact now I removed the damaged vanes from 1/2 dozen arrows and tried those "quick vane" things that you boil to shrink onto the arrow and they are flying most excellently, and with no damage to the vanes.  Love it! :IBCOOL:
