Title: Petition to Congress: Vote NO on Obama's Gun Registration Scheme
Post by: bearpaw on April 01, 2014, 03:35:55 PM
So before you do anything else today, please sign this:

NRA-ILA Petition to Congress: Tell them to Vote NO on Obama's Gun Registration Scheme

Whereas:
My fundamental, individual Second Amendment Right to Keep and Bear Arms is essential to my personal freedom and security as a law-abiding American;

Whereas:
The Obama administration has stated that its "universal background check" plan would force law-abiding gun owners like me to submit to mandatory "gun registration" as part of the enforcement requirement for such checks;

Whereas:
Gun registration does not prevent crime and only empowers government officials to ban and confiscate legally-owned firearms;

Therefore:
As an American dedicated to the U.S. Constitution, and as an NRA-ILA supporter, I demand that the United States Congress stand strong in defense of my Second Amendment freedoms, and vote NO on Barack Obama's gun registration scheme.

I spend a good part of my day each day supporting the 2nd Amendment. I carry everyday and I'm very connected to my elected and appointed officials, whether they like it or not. For good or bad, they all know who I am.
