Title: Clarification needed for multi season elk
Post by: teegansdad on April 17, 2014, 07:52:28 PM
So heres a scenerio Ive drawn the multi season elk tag finally after three years :sry:

But ive got 10 points for quality elk 10 points for bull elk and 8 points for cow elk

So for giggles lets say I get drawn for quality bull and also cow elk and i have a multi season tag! how many elk can i take in the year?

That's what i thought. So what would you guys do for the year? Take the points option for the rest and hunt hard the three seasons. I am confident i can close the deal with the general seasons, but it would be nice to pull a quality peaches of observatory tag

Most guys would apply for eastside quality elk permits. Some will apply for westside quality elk.
Then apply for points in bull and antlerless.

The odds of drawing high quality permits in this state are so poor that forgoing a year of applying makes little sense to me. I'd throw away $180 in a heartbeat in exchange for certain permits.
