after being cleared on the wood tick deal ,(by my wife ) and officially aloud in the house I went straight to the computer communicating device to ask if anybody can help me understand this 4 point only up by Chewelah on White tails. I was given access up there this year and I cant believe this , but boy howdy those deer are big up there and a 4 point would be a very large critter,oh ya ! and as far as I've seen and heard all the turkeys are down in that loudly posted field DANG IT !!

Yes, GMU 117 (49 Degrees North) and GMU 121 (Huckleberry) have been 4 point or better for a couple years now.
I hear the 4 point bucks are now plentiful and there's pretty much one behind every tree. Good luck!

So the wife's not very fond of ticks, huh? :chuckle: Mine will have me checking her head every ten minutes for a month straight if we find one on the dogs or ourselves.
I think that 4 point restriction on whitetail up there has been a rather successful one. Seem a lot easier to find a four point whitetail in the NE than it is to find a 3 point muley just about anywhere on public land. Access to private land sounds good. If you start having troubles, don't forget you can bait deer in Washington. Very effective on whitetails. You just can't shoot a turkey or a bear that might come by while you are sitting on a bait site.
Good luck, and don't forget the Permethrin

You've either misread or mistyped. It's not 4 point ONLY...it's 4 point MINIMUM. Has been for a few years.

Personally, I love this 4-point minimum rule. I have been managing my property for deer for the last few years and have seen a HUGE increase in the number of trophy whitetails. Before, we would be happy if we shot any kind of buck; now, we let the babies pass and aim for the ones on our hit list. The deer just keep getting bigger up here.

yes corrected again ! 4 point minimum,I've actually seen deer up there on my property 3 diff ereant times and they are very big critters for sure.really looking forward to hunting up there this year ! oh ya ! thanx for all those confusing faces to ! I haven't found any ticks this year yet so I still can get in but under constant surveillance. :chuckle: :chuckle:
