Title: Food Plots
Post by: JJD on May 10, 2014, 06:56:07 AM
Any of you guys on the east side of the mts ever put in food plots?
Just wondering what seed you put in and what type of soil / moisture you were planting in?

Clover, peas, hardy blends. Moist soil in the spring. Dry in summer. Irrigation helps a lot in the summer for us. There's a good bit of reading in this thread.

Plots are common.  Rainfall? Soil? Elevation? Annual? Perennial? Summer food? Winter food? Size? Ownership? Budget?  What critters?
