Title: Spring bear
Post by: Thehowler on May 10, 2014, 06:47:22 PM
Pulled pictures off my cameras today and had a picture of this healthy looking little spring bear.
The bear was approximently 50' from the camera.(https://hunting-washington.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi910.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fac302%2FGregorypaulb%2F6761dd2a88ac9ac58b4fc410c36419f1.jpg&hash=1388cabe096cf384eb19849ea6d949c55fcb1086)

That looks like a great bear. It always amazes me how they say that bears have such bad eyesight yet they can still get around in the middle of the night darkness like this one is doing. I have video of them running through the woods in the middle of the night. I had one sight my dog and myself about a quarter of a mile away across a canyon, watch us for a minute then quit feeding and disappear into the woods.

Great photo.  Nice looking bear - bears are hard to size - this one's got a biggish head - be great to see a comparison of some known size.  Moultrie game cams really reach out with the IR flash!
