I am looking for someone with some points that wants to get drawn This Year for a quality archery buck deer hunt in central Washington. It's very hard to draw a permit by yourself and if you only really want to choose one or two hunt choices. I have 5 quality deer points and would like to join forces with an individual(s) who have five or more point to increase our odds of getting drawn. We could plan a hunt together or go separate ways after the drawing. Send a pm if you want to explore this idea.

Your odds are actually slightly better by yourself.

As bobcat said, your odds of drawing are better solo than with someone who has 6 points or less. If you apply with someone with 7 points or more your odds go up but their odds go down.
-
no real advantage . plus what if your pair gets drawn with one permit left in the pool ?
-
I agree with point averaging yet if two or more hunters apply for a permit with the same number of points would that increase your odds?
-
No it does not increase your odds. But it sure is nice to have a hunting partner. So do it for that reason but not to increase your odds of drawing. Unless you can find someone who will apply with you who has significantly more points than you. Maybe someone who doesn't have the knowledge to hunt your area. That way you're both bringing something to the table.

It decreases your odds, and could decrease them significantly for hunts with only a few permits.

Thank you all for clarification on this subject. I have hunted this one before and the last time was in 2007 and several times before that so I do have some experience. My longtime hunting partner passed away in 2012 so I have been on my own for the last couple of seasons. I would share my knowledge of this hunt and have help other permit hunters who asked for help in the past few years.
