Never have tried the reef there but I'd get out there before the spearfishing season starts.  I have caught lingcod in the blakely rock area before on the south end of Bainbridge.

I have fished it and Blakely rock, both areas get hit pretty hard.  There are other areas not too far that produce much better.

We fish it all the time. We have days were we get 22 fish a tide. Great fishing with live bait.

Although, havent caught a keeper in probably 7 years. And we fish it hard! Its fun as heck but dont expect to keep anything. All dinks.
