Title: Want to borrow a sight pusher
Post by: usmc74 on May 15, 2014, 08:10:21 PM: I need to borrow a sight pusher to change the front sight on my muzzleloader (a Rem 700 & a Bighorn)
One of my co-workers has one, but he is on vacation for 2 weeks.
I went to buy one from Brownells, but they are now out of stock.

Looking for one like the Wiliams 1953

Thanks for the link though, might have to pick one up. My barrels would sure look a lot nicer had I been using one of those all along. :chuckle:

They work good for the ramp style front site, but would be difficult on an octagonal barrel.

I destroyed a ramp once trying to do the punch without proper support.

Have one on order, should be in next week

Post by: Jburke on May 17, 2014, 01:41:44 AM: Be careful which one you buy though. You can find a lot of different types and a few different styles. I have one that I got off Ebay. It works for the most part but you have to be very careful or you can still scratch the finish on your gun. Mine is a fairly cheap one that I had to send back when the bolts seized because the metal frame wasn't heat treated. :bdid:
I haven't had to use it since it got replace with a heat treated version.

I have borrowed a Williams style from a guy at work, and have tried to buy it from him but no-go.
So now I'll have my own
