Title: bowtech guardian
Post by: hntrspud on May 21, 2014, 06:41:58 PM
There is one for sale on cl that was a backup, Haas winners choice strings and was tuned by Riverside last year.  I read about the limbs possibly having issues. Has anyone owned one, and or what can you say about them? Good or bad.

Make sure the limb tips have the pins in them near the axles. Those are the good limbs. The ones breaking didnt have pins.

Can you elaborate on that a little. Are they supposed to be top to bottom,  in the end of the limb, or what orientation they would be.

This is an elite, but same idea. Pins are vertical next to the axles. Not sure which side of the axle the pins are on the bowtech, but if nothings there dont buy it.

Good to know. I requested he send me pics and he said he will tonight. He also mentioned that the previous owner had them fixed and that the 07, and mostly the general were the ones with issues. I will look for the pins tho.

Sorry but I'm wrong, it was the general with the limb recall with the added limb pins.  The guardian should be fine either way. :sry:

Thats just fine. It has the pins in the limbs either way so I am good on that. Now hopefully I like the way it fits and shoots.

The Guardian was one of the best bows I have ever owned, but man is it a boat anchor...way to heavy to carry around all day in the woods
