Title: Alpine lake access?
Post by: Martinhunter on May 22, 2014, 07:37:25 PM
Just curious if anyone has been up around 3000 to 3500 ft off the beaten path lately? I'm curious how the roads might be, I'm thinking I might head up to one of my favorite lakes this weekend, it sits at 3300 ft and I'm not sure if the snow will be off the roads yet. Its a long drive to get within a mile or 2 and find out its still snowed in.

I like the www.wta.org (http://www.wta.org) site, check for recent hike updates.  Who knows, your lake may be posted but if not, it'll give you an idea on snow levels at other elevations.
