We will be doing a ceremony at Snoqualmie valley cemeteries for Memorial Day (American Legion)
We are short some people to shoot the M1 garands (blanks) as part of the ceremony (ready, aim, fire, 3X at each location)
We start at Preston Cemetery at 8:30, ceremony at 9:00
Moving to Fall City Cemetery at 10:00
North Bend Cemetery at 11:00
Snoqualmie Veterans memorial at 12:00 (by city hall)
Just need a couple more to help, so I won't be shooting solo.

I don't have a M-1 any longer and my BDUs have not fit since 1979. What will an old Army Dog need to help?
-
Just show up. The American Legion has the M1s for their honor guard. They have the blanks. They said wear whatever is comfortable. This is also my first time assisting. They wanted 3 shooters, and I was the first volunteer. I would rather not be the only one
Ahem.....my last time in uniform was 81. The only reason I fit BDUs now, is because I bought new ones for bow hunting
Send me a PM if you would like to participate.

I will be at the American Legion hall at 0730 for instructions. I'm well versed on M-1, M-1 Carbines and M2 , M-14 and E2 as well as M-16s so no issues there.
-
I'll meet you at the hall at 7:30 if that is what you would like (8:00 would be better though)
The Preston Cemetery is about 15 minutes away
Give me a call in the morning and we can get set up

It was a pleasure to assist, it gave me one of them warm fuzzy feelings to be able to do so. Ask a little earlier and you may have a platoon show up. Thanks again, Greg AKA WADU
