I will be headed to Chelan end of the week for 5 nights and bringing my boat and I am wondering if there is anyone willing to give me some intel on where to go and what to use for them, We just used live minnows in Wisconsin but I guess that is illegal here. Plan on dragging around for some lakers too !!
Thanks in advance !!

Can't help you on where in the Chelan area, but we've done well trolling for them with a Mack's Double Whammy tipped with a nightcrawler.

The closest place is probably going to be the columbia. But I don't know how good it is up that high. I haven't heard of any in Lake Chelan

I don't think there are any in Lake Chelan, but there is a spot up the road on the Columbia I can tell you about if you are interested.

No Walleye in Chelan, but there are plenty in the Columbia up there. Wells Pool, Rufus, and Roosevelt have Walleye.

Yeah I'm also pretty sure there are none in Lake Chelan but don't have a problem going to another location if its not really far like say within 30-40 miles or so.
Thank You all for the input so far, I'm looking forward to catching some of them again, its been a looooong time !!

Below Wells, heavy jig, sweetened with a chunk of night crawler.

Plenty of nice smallmouth in Chelan!

If it was me, I would head to Banks. Maybe too far but might be easier to figure out for the first time? Lots of unders this year but the keepers are quality. Rufus can be really good right now but can be hit or miss with the water flows.

Banks would be about an hour away if you use the back roads. Its pretty steep across the river going out of Chelan, but once on top, its good, flat roads on into Coulee City. Not sure I'd go back that way pulling a boat, as you may have some smelly brakes at the bottom of the hill. :chuckle:
