A few years ago I drew a Qbull tag with 3 points. This year my group of 3 drew cow tags with a 1pt avg. Better to be lucky than good sometimes!
-
Last year I drew Quality bull archery with 4 points.
-
I drew quality deer skokomish this year with one point :archery_smiley: :brew:
-
Be careful jerry. It will just make you mad at the draw system. Keep your chin up.
-
I drew an observatory "quality" archery bull tag. 4 points
-
Drew quality deer last year with 4 points drew mudflow quality muzzy bull with 5
-
drew quality peaches archery with 4pts
-
Drew Chiwawa quality deer with 4 this year. The first time I drew it I had 9.
-
My son drew Quality huckleberry whitetail with 4. Only thing I drew was BM foothills east.
-
Interesting trend with 4 pts. I had 4 when I drew Nooksack quality bull 4 years ago.
-
My buddy drew peaches archery with 5 points. My dad also drew with 11.
-
Its kinda crazy the LUCK of the draw! I have an aquaintance that drew the late entiat with 3 points and then drew the late chiwawa this year with 6, two quality tags in less than 10 years and most of my other buddies have 14+ and still havnt pulled a tag. I cant complain we have pulled a few here and there but the system is def. weird!
-
three of us drew peaches ridge quality bull tag and we all had 5 points.
-
Archery quality Deer 4 points......
-
My dad drew quality archery buck in naneum with 3.
-
this thread makes me wanta punch my computer!
-
I drew a bull permit with 4 points this year for rifle, last year I drew a quality bull tag with 3 point for archery.
-
I'm punching it for you.

this thread makes me wanta punch my computer!
:yeah: I don't even know why I asked, guess I'm into self mutilation!
-
Quality Bull with 2 pts ..but the way it sounds that is no longer going to be the lucky number :chuckle:
-
Peaches muzzy quality with 5 points :IBCOOL:
-
I think the magic number is 4 points. I drew Blue Creek Archery in 2012 with only 4 points. I see a lot of hunter with 4 points getting drawn. So, I should draw Dayton archery in 2 years. :chuckle:

Might as well look at the actual data rather than a small skewed sample on Hunt WA.
http://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/permits/results/points/2013.php (http://wdfw.wa.gov/hunting/permits/results/points/2013.php)
It's 2013, but over that large a sample size, the 2014 results will be similar.

Can someone explain the two columns to me? I don't get the the two columns of applicants with different numbers and such....
-
What are the odds of 1 member of my group pulling a tag that averages 230 applicants. Two of us have 13 points. One has 9, the other 6.

That would depend on how many permits are available.

Pay attention to the labels, there are "applications" and "applicants."
An applicant is each individual person who applies. More than one applicant can be listed on each individual application.
Say there are two applications for a permit and each one was a group application with two people in one group and three in the other.
In the first column it would show 2 for the number of applications and in the third column would be 5 for the number of people included in those two applications.
Once you understand this, I think the rest will be self explanatory.

I drew the teanaway bull tag.... this was the first year I applied. Got lucky
-
2 points quality elk

Sorry 1 permit
-
In the past I have drawn Entiat deer, sheep, Toutle bull, multiseason elk with 4 points or less.
The permit gods caught up with me this year with 12 not selected items.
-
2008 I drew Cowichie muzzy quality bull with 4 points. Just drew Rimrock muzzy quality bull with 6. Should be epic!!!
-
Ok I booked a combo Wy mule deer and antelope hunt with a outfitter and received the call to day that I was drawn for the tags 1 piont, lucky right thats what I thought. So next I check my wa draw results for WA and then it starts I got drawn for poug unit any deer hunt in the rut with 1 point then I got drawn for a upper smit creek cow tag muzzleloader hunt 3 points, I can do all them but how do I tell the wife and pay for it all and get time off work lol

people have an obsession with points in this state..I dunno if its people comparing it to other states such as UT or CO etc where when you have certain pt totals it actually means something, but in this state points almost mean nothing! every year its just another chance at a permit.
-
In 2009 group up 5 drew Toutle with a 2 avg.
