My son passed his hunters ed class this year and did really well even though he is only 8 years old. I told him beforehand that if he passed his test i would take him out turkey hunting. I wasn't sure how he would do but he shot a double the first day out and maintained his composure really well so i put him in for pretty much every tag under the sun. I was glad to see that we drew the Desert unit second deer tag (antlerless only), because I think there is a good chance of him having success with this hunt. I am really excited for him because he loves to hunt and it should make for a great first year of hunting for him. Congrats to all the "really good tag recipients" who drew this year.

Good deal on the draw for your son. I am waiting patiently (somewhat:) for my boys and daughter to pass their hunters safety, they are only 4,4, & 5 now so still have a few years.
Post up pictures of the hunt, I will be excited to see how it comes out. I hoped to draw this tag but got Spokane North instead, maybe next year.
