Not sure if this is the right place for this but here goes. I have been interested in learning how to call for elk. what are some good calls to start with and what are good instructional videos to get. Any info will help thanks.

Jason phelps is a member on here and makes quality calls. External mouth call to start out.

Agreed. I'd reach out to Jason, JPhelps, and ask him for his input on calls. I'd also look at the Elknut playbook for the how-to's. Elknut1 on here.

Phelps diaphragms are great.  I was a guy who would turn blue in the face due to choking on mouth reeds until I purchased one from Jason.  No gaging and very easy to use. I've been practicing for only about 3 weeks with it, and I'm ready to challenge Jason to a calling contest.  :chuckle:
