Title: Observatory Quality Elk
Post by: RileyH on June 16, 2014, 08:16:34 AM
Hey all, hope everyone drew well and is gearing up for the upcoming season(s)!

It's my first year back from college and I happened to draw Quality Elk for the Observatory. We traditionally hunt in the Manastash but I haven't been up there since the road washed out coming in from Elk Heights a few seasons back because of school.

My family has taken two good bulls up there in the years past, and the last time I was up there I had a monster of a bull at 20 yards with no tag, but that was 4-5 years ago.  How are the elk in the unit doing; any tips or advice? I'd like to research, scout, and learn as much as possible before Archery season hits, so any leads or information would be great!

Thanks all.
