He doesn't want to switch to modern firearm season or doesn't want to use a rifle... because you can use a crossbow in modern firearm without a special use permit.he wants to keep with the bow season, he's been in the same camp for many years, plus that season is waaaaay more fun.

Couldn't tell by your post if he actually started the application process, but those are more guidelines. Looks like the first step is gathering doctor letters/records that are in line with the requirements.

It is only allowed in firearm restricted areas or if you have a special use permit. So say if you were hunting the teanaway during modern season you would not be allowed to use a crossbow unless you had a special use permit
