Title: Found a possible shooter buck this year(UPDATED 8-2)
Post by: huntnnw on June 16, 2014, 10:12:22 PM: In a newer spot... was a elk spot for years, but have been looking for a drop tine buck that I found last year running cams to see if hes alive. There is no sign of him yet, but this spot I found shed hunting on a long ridge with lots of benches with a huge scrape on it. There is 3 active scrapes now on the ridge being used already. There are 12 bucks so far on cam and this is the biggest one and one other that should be nice.

Post by: huntnnw on June 16, 2014, 10:27:53 PM: Both are the same...the top one is 7 days later than the bottom pic...grew alot. I am hoping some g4's are coming he could have some huge beams if he does. He is double the size of any buck I have on cam right now.

Post by: Doublelunger on June 24, 2014, 11:07:58 PM: Probably no g4, but I believe July is the month where they grow the most, up to an inch a day. so he still has a lot of potential.

That's very true man. I had a 5 pt and a big non typical that used to run together. By late June the 5 pt was almost fully developed and the non typ was just getting past his G2s. By late July the non typ had surpassed the 5pt. You can't judge antler growth by date. Nice bucks man.

this buck i think has the greatest potential in this spot to be the biggest one he is just starting to grow versus that big 4

This is a buck Ill look for next year hes got potential to be big next year

this buck exploded in growth in the last 2 weeks...he wasnt even a buck Id blink an eye at in mid july.
