Title: West Goat Rocks - Elk
Post by: muleman41 on June 19, 2014, 12:20:38 PM: My daughter drew the West Goat Rock rifle tag. I have stock have ridden in the unit some have not hunted it. Will be hunting the last week of season (Sept 24th -30th). Any advice is welcomed.

Post by: redi on June 22, 2014, 12:27:02 AM: How experienced are you at hunting elk in the rut? Do you call elk at all? I would say if you get in the high country before season to scout the terrain, glass and do some calling you should be able to find some elk and get on a bull. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
