The weather looks good Sunday. Will the ramp be a zoo with all the festivities down there?
-
Ya....Pirate festival?? Good luck!!
-
Lots of rigs all week
-
Good weekend for your first bar crossing. Fishing has been red hot all week.
-
Fished straight out in 300 feet so many fish it's hard to keep up make sure to take enough bait. Caught kings with down riggers down 130 feet and silvers with wire down 40 feet.
-
I need to get my butt down there :bash:

Went out this morning on a charter beautiful day. I think we had 14 people and we were done by 10:30.
-
I'm headed down Monday morning bright and early. Hoping the bar is in good shape, should be. On the downriggers are you using flashers and spoons?
-
Well picking up bait at 5am. See you all out there.
-
Good luck! If I didn't have to work this weekend I'd be there. :bash: as good as its been why are yall even messin with bait?
-
No need for downriggers, mooching was silly good. We had three silvers take bare hooks today.
-
Does the Chevron have fresh bait all the time? :dunno:
-
You need to call and reserve fresh at Hungry Whale, they have frozen if you cant get fresh.
-
30+ fish to the boat today for three of us.... After getting some great information from Del...... As I normally do not fish Westport... But we got a lot of Silvers, mix bag of what worked- I think kitchen sink even had one on??? No big Kings - but we release a bunch in anticipation of those 30lbers.... I am not a bait guy, Coho Killers and the slightly larger spoons worked best for me- but that is 99% of what I run everywhere else behind a Q-Cove flasher, they better work -right!!! 90ft was the zone today for us off DR's and one always off the deep six of the back was great too... All fillets fish - had full sized sardine/anchovies stuffed in their bellies- mimic that and your golden!
-
Were you in 90' of water or deeper? How far out did you run? I've got a 17' Arima so I don't want to run too far. :bdid:
-
Oh, we were out 12 miles...
-
Glad you guys nailed them Cohoho!
-
300 ft and a little south and you cant go wrong.
-
10-12 miles out in my 18' stryker. No worries. It's was decent out there weather wise. Fishing was insane. Must have hooked 20 silvers and only 1 king. Went out with my son and a good friend. What a great time.

Crazy good fishing again yesterday but fish might have moved a little south and out we were in 325 feet but have limited on kings every day letting the wire down to 200 feet. We run a fish flash and herring on one and straight herring on the other our kings have been 18 to 20 pounders. Glad you had fun mike sure be glad when the fish move into the beach. I really like my downriggers my first year using them but the charters are using 6 oz lead and dropping down deep.
