I figured that I might as well post an introduction here on the fishing board because as the past few seasons have proven to me... I'm a terriable hunter!! I still enjoy being out in the woods and watching animals run away from me or sitting in a treestand for 4 days straight and not seeing anything. I do love me some hunting but I'm a little better at fishing. I thought I'd post a link to a video of some idiot catching what you eastern Washington types might refer to as a "steelhead" on a BARBIE ROD

Very nice, I'll have to see if I can find pic of kids with their "Snoopy" rod and some pink salmon and rock fish... Too funny..

WELCOME!
Great video too! Funny, my youngest son hooked into a large carp with his "Scooby Do" pole last year. He put up a valiant fight with that fish before his little 4 year old hands gave out and he LET GO OF THE POLE! Somewhere in the Snake river is a carp with his own Scooby Do pole now!

Nice catch and welcome!

Welcome,
I don't know of any of us "Eastern Washington types" that would call that a stealhead. Good effort though

There is a group of guys out here on the peninsula that have a snoopy derby (Snoopy Rod Classic) on the Bogy every year, it is always quite a site to see them getting it on !!! Check it out here: http://www.piscatorialpursuits.com/ (http://www.piscatorialpursuits.com/) Scroll down to "Site News".
Wouldn't it be fun to organize something like that for Huntwa ??
Here is the crew this year for the Snoopy Rod Classic !!
