Title: Trapping vacation
Post by: Machias on June 23, 2014, 03:09:06 PM
I normally take a deer hunting vacation every fall.  I'm really thinking about taking a trapping and predator hunting vacation this year.  Three to four weeks worth.  What state do you think I should consider?  Considering land available to trap, target animals, and license fees.  Thanks for any thoughts.

I think I would pick a state where I could trap something I wouldn't normally be able to trap.
That lets Texas in as it is the only state you can  legally trap cougar.
Maine, only place you can trap bear.
Other then that it would probably be a western state. Hey ringtailed cats in New Mexico.
Likely it would be a state with a lot of public ground unless I had a friend to get me lined out on permissions.
