Title: Suggestions for optics on a 458 Socom
Post by: Rob on June 24, 2014, 10:18:59 AM: What optic would you put on a 458 socom that is under $600?

I was looking at this:

Purpose would be a pig gun anticipated shots under 100 yards. Liking red dots or holo sights. Weight is not an issue on this one.

Post by: yorketransport on June 26, 2014, 08:22:42 PM: Checkout the Ultra Dot. They are nearly indestructible and reasonably priced. I ran one on a 500 s&w and it held up perfectly.

I am going to make a decision in the next two weeks on optics. If anyone has suggestions would love to hear them!

Price includes a quality throw leaver mount.

It's a little more than your price point but worth a look IMHO

I placed the order last week. I ordered a trijicon tripower:

I have one on my AR and really like it so I thought I'd get a second one. I like that it does not need batteries, but also has the tritium and battery options as well.
