Title: Looking for a muzzle loader for my brother...
Post by: elkhorn on June 25, 2014, 09:29:59 PM: My brother is hunting with me this year, so I am trying to find him a used ML. Anyone got any leads? Or, does anyone have one sitting around that they would like to sell? Thanks.

Which Knight did you get? I am totally biased so for me to say "good choice" probably would not mean much.

Post by: elkhorn on June 26, 2014, 06:28:15 PM: It's a used stainless Wolverine with a thumb-hole stock. The guy I bought it from did a great job of keeping it clean. Very happy with it. Too bad it's my brother's gun now. I bought it for him. I'm just glad he's hunting with me.

Shoot! that is a really good gun pluses for the stainless and Thumbhole... Should be a good shooter...

From my MK-85's I shoot .458x300 grain Bloodlines in the supplied sabot for hunting and for the range I use a .458x300 gr. Sierra HP. I really prefer T7-3f powder and shoot 110 grains (volume) ignited with a #11 Mag cap or better yet a RWS Dynamit Noble 1075+ cap.

I use a Williams FP peep sight and a Williams front fire sight with a Fire sight Hood.
