I got my daughter registered for this class, it starts July 21st. It sure isn't filling up very fast and I'm wondering why. :dunno:
Registration has been open for a couple of days now. Another class in Olympia a couple weeks later is already filled up. The class that's at Cabelas still has 25 openings out of 30.
Just curious if anybody from here will be there?

You never know how it will fill up I've had classes fill in hours or i've had classes not fill in a month.
-
I had a traditional class last month 35 spots. Ended up with 17.
Lots of folks taking the on line but not being able to find a field review.
Sports, vacations, just summer who knows. But come Aug, Sept. folks will be crying for a class. And there will be few because instructors hunt and Bear opens in a month.
Also the bridge deck replacement will deter students coming from the North. No one wants a 2-3 hr. class and 2 hr. commute.

Still 22 out of 30 seats remaining in this class. Dates are July 21 to July 26. I guess it's not that difficult getting into a hunter ed course as I had heard. :dunno:

Not sure about the classes at Cabelas, but I know the classes held near me are pretty tough to get in. They fill up months in advance with very few openings on day one. A few years ago my brother had a tough time getting his son in a class. Last year we luckily squeezed in my son even though there were no cancelations. This year a friend signed up before the class filled up and they did not have any openings on day one.

I was going to sign up for the one at the Black Lake fire station which starts on August 11th. Registration opened on July 1st and when I got online about one hour after it opened, all 28 seats were taken. The Cabelas class opened for registration at the same time. :dunno:

Yep. The BLF class is the same one that I mentioned above. The positive is that there should be more one on one time for the younger students.

It could be the length of the class. Was the one that filled quickly shorter amount of days? I did mine at cabelas and it was four or five days and only three hours per class room day. My sons was two full days. So people might just prefer the quicker to the point class.

No, actually they were similar in length of each class and the number of days. The biggest difference is the Cabelas class starts at 6:00 PM and the Black Lake one starts at 7:00 PM.
