Title: Tuna time in westport

The last two days some sport boats have caught tuna one boat had 32 today going to be hard to leave this salmon fishing but darn it's tuna time all up and down the coast tuna are showing today the numbers were 46x22 and 125x13 .

The numbers are loran numbers fisherman use this GPS numbers as a way to tell the location of where they have found fish then if someone is running out they have a place to run to to start fishing.

It means they are still a long run out there, will only get better from here though

Actually there lat/long numbers,loran was shut down years ago. Loran number got you close to a position,lat/long gets you right there.

I here ya on leaving the salmon. We fished this weekend and it was smoking hot for our boat. Should be a good Tuna season. :tup:

Anyone know if they are selling any yet?  I need to do some tuna canning this year.  Best place/price to get them????  Thanks, IB's wife.

A buddy of mine going out of Garabaldi this weekend. He said they were 50 miles out  :yike: Have fun but no thanks  ;)

They did okay out of Westport today but ran 55 miles south to find them must be almost to the Columbia they will be out here in a couple weeks if not before.

The boat my buddy was on caught 9 out of 12 hook ups.

Awesome.  Me too.  I'm fishing with Reid.  It will be my first WTC.  We're fishing Friday.  Let's get beer Friday night.
