If you want to shoot one, head to Boise.  That is the badger capital of the world.

I was run up a tree by a badger...N.E. Wa.  I was only 16yrs then, now 40yrs old.   Them there critters are nothing to play with.  I would rather grab a tiger by the tail... :chuckle:

while we are on the topic, today i took a fellow member (Daryl)from Alaska coyote hunting, in moxee. After he had left on his way, me and my aunt decided to check out this old timers "homested" that had recently died a few years ago. He lives out in the sage brush, with dirt floors, and no running water, old broke down cars everywhere.... you know the type. THERE IS A FREAKIN COLONY OF BADGERS LIVING THER NOW.... is everyone sure you cant hunt/trap these guys at all???!!!

you can trap them if you have a trappers license

You can sure enough trap them, they are not hard to get into a box trap.  You should use fresh bait, they don't particularly like tainted bait.

You have to go through a trappers training class and pass the test with a 90% I believe.  It's sorta like a Hunters Education Class.  It's a 7 hour class or right around their.  They just had one at Cabela's on October 25th.

Went to the Cabela's Class and got my card.  Went and picked up my Trappers License yesterday when I went to renew my Taxidermy License.

I'd love to get my hands on a couple nice Badger.

I got a buddy that farms in Hatton Coulee and said the badgers are every where down there. Says he plows them every spring with the tractor.
