Going to be staying at Tiffany's resort Aug 1,2,3 and just wondering what the fish might be biting on. I prefer to troll as aposed to power bait but will do whatever it takes to get my son into some fish. Thanks for any help.
-
We troll up there a lot, I like leaded line and a number 70 hotshot , The green ones with the yellow bottoms seem to work the best. I think they are called perch.
-
Uncle has a cabin on the lake. When i have been up there we troll using streamer flies.
-
Thanks guys! I didn't think about the streamers. Good idea.

If he's like my kids and wants constant action throw in some bass gear. Carolina rig a plastic 5" salamander in dark green w/some flecks in it. Just cast toward shore and let it sink. Will be rare if it even hits the bottom before he'll have one on.

Ric, I have fished there many times when I was younger, we used to do great right off the dock of Pine Point resort, its gone now but I would fish on the bottom with rainbow Power bait, after you guys limit on trout fish for bass

Heavy fast action rod. 40 pound braid and a fat bucktail. Tiger Musky... YEA!
-
Wow! Didn't know there were tiger musky in there. Is there one part of the lake that's better for the musky? What am I looking for in musky water? I've fished for pike on Couer d' Alene lake and in Montana but never musky.

Sent ya a PM

Im not an expert but I like the drop-offs and along weed lines. Keep your eyes on the bait, if you think you have moss or other gunk trailing behind your lure... look again. It may be a follow.
Here is a Musky specific forum. TONS of answers.

I just got back from Curlew been going there for years. We stay at Black Beach. Trout fishing was great we do a lot of steal fishing from the boat. Lots of turtles and perch in the lake this year.
I saw two tiger muskies dead floating in the lake they looked like someone slashed them with a knife behind the front fin and bled out. They were all white and decaying and smelled really bad. I reported it to the owners of Black Beach.

It was floating past black beach the larger one, 34-38 inches. The second one was in the smaller lake where you go thru the shallow channel.
The smaller one was about 24- 26 inches.
They both had been dead for a while.
